Specialist Cars adopts new Nissan identity for Aberdeen dealership

Specialist Cars Nissan of Aberdeen has moved to a brand-new showroom that incorporates Nissan’s new corporate identity.

Operated by John Clark Motor Group, the showroom moves from its Balmoral Business Park location to a new home at The Autoplex, off Abbotswell Road.

The new showroom opens as Nissan rolls out its new Aryia electric car, updated Qashqai with new e-Power hybrid powertrain and the new Juke Hybrid.

Reflecting current powertrain trends, the dealership has been equipped with a number of rapid chargers.

The new site is the second to open this month. Lookers re-opened its Nissan dealership in Chester following £750,000 investment in the Japanese carmaker’s new corporate identity (CI).

The site, at Chester’s Sealand Road, was redesigned following a 12-week refurbishment to accommodate next-generation Nissan cars and vans, including all-electric and hybrid models, and used vehicles.

Heading up the team at Specialist Cars Nissan Aberdeen are franchise director Gerry McQuillan; sales manager David Barnes; and fleet & business sales manager Lynn McCraw.

McQuillan said: ‘‘We’re delighted to be in our new home. It’s a fantastic site in a great location and will certainly help the business go from strength to strength.

‘‘The new Nissan corporate identity looks great – it’s modern yet inviting. Feedback from our staff and customers has been excellent.’’

Nissan was accused of attempting to carry out a “cloak and dagger” restructure of its franchised car retail network, earlier this year, which will axe some of its longest serving and top-performing franchised car dealers.

The OEM broke its silence on its ‘Ideal Network Plan’ in July,  after terminating a number of high-performing retailers with no formal announcement, consultation or public announcement, with those already part of the cull told not to discuss the plan.
